Embattled Police Officer, Abba kyari has seen his file suit seeking for a liberal bail turned down by the Justice Inyang Eden Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Recall that Kyari had earlier dragged the Federal Government to court seeking his release days after he was arrested and handed over to the NDLEA over his involvement in Cocaine Trafficking.
In an ex-parte application by his counsel, Cynthia Ikena, Kyari claimed to be suffering from diabetes and hypertension and needs urgent medical attention.
The request was however turned down by the Presiding Judge, Justice Inyang Ekwo who noted that the suit contained some averments that would require government’s response.
“Upon studying the process of the Applicant and averments in support thereon, I am of the opinion that the Respondent should be put on notice”.
Justice Ekwo ordered that all the relevant processes should be served on FG and adjourned the case to February 24th.
