The nemesis has caught up with five runaway suspected cultists over their involvement in various criminal offences perpetrated in Ijebu- Ode and its environs in Ogun State.
Making this known at Ogun State Police Command in Abeokuta last week was the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, while revealing the activities of suspected cultists.
The group, according to the PPRO, belonged to Aiye Confraternity thatallegedly killed a police sergeant, Akeem Oseni.
They were also involved in robbery cases in Ijebu- Ode and its environs. The suspected cultists were arrested in their hideout along Molipa Road, Ijebu –Ode.
The suspects are Segun Olabiyi, Musa Atanda Musa, Olorunjuedalo Adewale, Olamide Odewole and Peter Anuoluwapo Akinyemi.
DSP Oyeyemi also added that through intelligence report from Obalende Divisional Headquarters in Ijebu-Ode and from members of the public, DPO Obalende Division, SP SalamiMurphy, quicklymobilised his officers to the scene where five of them were arrested other escaped with bullets wounds.
