The Osun State Police Command has paraded three ritualists for the alleged ritual murder of Aishat Yekeen, a 53-year-old woman.
According to the Osun State Police Command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, the suspected trio of Muideen Tunji Nafiu, aged 43 years, Yusuf Muslim, aged 44 years and Rabiu Fatai, aged 51 years were apprehended after Yekeen’s son reported that his mother had been missing since March 8, 2022, and all efforts to trace her had proved abortive.
Opalola, who disclosed that the suspects were arrested with human body parts suspected to be that of Yekeen, added that the command received the information of her disappearance on March 28, 2022.
She stated that, “A team of police detectives immediately swung into action by visiting the house of the victim at Ile Ogbo in Ayedire Local Government and gathered some reasonable information available.”
The Osun Police Command spokesperson also explained that detectives worked on the piece of information and extended their investigation activities to Lalupo in Oyo State where the first suspect, one Muideen Tunji Nafiu was arrested on April 5, 2022.
Nafiu, she revealed, confessed to have conspired with Yusuf Muslim and killed the woman for ritual purpose in his house at Ile Ogbo.
