Angry Nigerians have blocked the busy Benin-Ore highway in protest over the scarcity of naira notes and fuel across the country.
The protesters blocked the dual carriageway, including the flyover interchange.
Ondo Police Commissioner, Oyeyemi Oyediran, on Monday, warned residents in the state not to embark on any protest to showcase their grievances.
The Ondo CP cautioned that embarking on any protest was not healthy, warning it could be hijacked by hoodlums to perpetrate other heinous crimes in the state.
One of the protesters said the protest was to send a message to the government that the masses are suffering.
