Sanwo-Olu appoints Onanuga As SSA On Central Business District

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has appointed the renowned grassroots youth mobilizer, Ayodele Oluwatobi Onanuga, popularly known as  ‘Omoga Cares of Lagos’ as the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Central Business District.
Onanuga’s appointment was disclosed to journalists by his Personal Assistant, Mr. Waliu Abdul, based on a letter signed by the Head of Service, Mr. Olabode Agoro on 21st March, 2024.
The letter confirming the appointment reads in part: “I wish to convey the approval of Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State, of your appointment as the Senior Special Assistant (Central Business District) to Mr. Governor. This appointment takes effect from 21st March 2024 to 21st May 2027.
“Please note that your office will be at the Central Business District.
“In appointing you, the State Government expects you to demonstrate a high level of dedication, diligence, and selflessness in the discharge of your duties to justify the confidence and trust reposed in you.”
Reacting to the appointment in a statement by Abdul, his Personal Assistant, Onanuga expressed profound gratitude to Governor Sanwo-Olu for believing in his ability and entrusting him with this significant task.
“I pledged to do everything possible to unite all Lagosians and enhance the state’s image. I will contribute my quota to the actualisation of the THEMES+ agenda, particularly the fourth pillar, which is Making Lagos 21st Century Economy,” he promised.
The Senior Special Assistant on Central Business District urged all stakeholders and residents of CBD to collaborate with him in maintaining Lagos as the top center of excellence in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
Onanuga before his new appointment has been Senior Lagislative Aide to the immediate past Speaker of the House of Representative, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.
He has also been one time at Protocol Directorate, Party Affairs and several other posts both at the national, state and local levels.
