Operatives of the Buffalo Squad of the Delta State Police Command have arrested six men suspected to be cultists.
This was made known in a post by the Command’s spokesperson, Bright Edafe, on Sunday, via his X handle.
According to Edafe, a locally cut-to-size gun and two cartridges were recovered upon search of the suspects and their vehicle, a black GLK.
The post reads: “Operatives attached to the Command’s Buffalo squad while on routine patrol along Ibusa Road intercepted a black GLK conveying six young boys, upon searching the suspects and the vehicle, a locally made cut-to-size gun and two live cartridges were recovered.
“Ordinarily, when people see Police stopping random vehicles for a search, passersby will say Police are harassing innocent youths.
“Our investigation has revealed that they are suspected members of Black Axe confraternity.”
