Security Operatives Thwart Kidnap Attempt In Kaduna

The Kaduna State Government on Friday confirmed that security operatives foiled a kidnap attempt and rescued three persons in Ungwan Madaki general area of Chikun local government.

 

The Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, in a statement in Kaduna, said the success recorded was a result of the urgent response by troops to distress calls in the area.

 

He said the troops arrived in the area and engaged the bandits, forcing them to flee and abandon their victims.

 

He said Elkanah Eli, alongside his daughter and another male neighbour, Yahaya were rescued from bandits who upon sighting the troops, took to their heel

 

He said the Kaduna State Government while appreciating the efforts of the operatives, said the victims have been reunited with their families.
