Delta Police React To Viral Video Of Soldiers, Policemen Exchanging Blows

The Delta State Police Command has reacted to a viral video showing some police officers and soldiers fighting publicly at a roadblock close to the Air Force base in Delta State.

The police officers and soldiers were seen exchanging blows on a busy road and disrupting the movement of vehicles.

As the clash went on, a police officer who was trying to escape was seen being pulled by other soldiers in the direction of the Air Force installation.

As of the time of publication, the cause of the fight between the uniformed men has yet to be ascertained.

However, according to an X user, the incident happened behind the Warri Refinery in Delta State.

Another user, @tunisky, tweeted, “This is the result of long military rule. During military rule, soldiers were made superior to police, which affected the psyche and morale of the policemen.”

Also, @churchillt14851, tweeted; “(this is) air force checkpoint along the Jeddo Rd in Okpe LG of Delta state. The level of corrupt force men on the route is alarming down to Adesa. Commissioner of police Delta state shine your light to the area and sanitise it.”

@SquareC123 said: “Nigeria has never worked in the past, not working now and still insists it won’t work in the future but we are not paying attention.”
