Bandits kill community guard, steal cart away rifle in Zamfara attack

Armed bandits have killed a member of the Community Protection Guard (CPG) in Dutsin Wake Village, Birnin Magaji Local Government Area of Zamfara State, carting away his firearm.

Zagazola confirmed the incident on Tuesday, stating that it occurred at about 8:45 p.m on April 28.

The victim, identified as Faruk Suleman, was attacked by the assailants while on duty. He was fatally shot and his pump-action rifle was taken away by the attackers.

Security forces recovered his body and was taken to a hospital for autopsy
