Police Apprehend Three Suspects In Connection With Stolen Properties, Burglary In Abuja

The police command in Abuja has arrested a criminal known as Salam Bashiru and two other suspects for alleged burglary, stealing of properties, and extortion of members of the Gwagwa community.

His arrest was made possible after thorough intelligence gathering from the police.

It was gathered that some of the stolen items are sold to other suspects, identified as Sunday Dickson, who in turn will resell it to Adamu Abdullahi and Wakili Zaheed, the Mai Angwa of Gwagwa.

The suspects met their Waterloo on December 9, 2024, when their homes and shops were raided and valuable items such as 11 plasma televisions, 3 laptop computers, 4 wall-mounted LED lights, 5 computer desktop monitors, 1 Tiger generator, 2 gas cylinders, 2 solar street lights, 1 bag containing window nets, 3 DSTV decoders, 1 aluminium drilling machine, 3 standing fans, 1 home theatre system, 1 weaving machine, 1 juice mixer, and 1 PlayStation were found.

However, in the course of interrogation, the suspects failed to account for the items recovered in their possession.
