The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested 27 suspects following a joint operation in Kawo area of Kaduna State.
The operation was conducted in the early hours of June 8, 2025 as a result of a collaborative effort by the military, the Department of State Services (DSS), and local hunter groups.
Kaduna State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Mansir Hassan, explained that the police recovered knives, axes, some drugs, particularly marijuana, and other illegal items.
Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad, praised the cooperation exhibited between the security actors during the raid and reiterated the state’s zero-tolerance stance against crime.
He emphasized that the raid was designed to disrupt criminal elements operating in Kaduna.
“Kaduna State is a peaceful state, and we want to keep it as a peaceful state. Criminals will not disrupt the peace of our communities,” he said.
He urged anyone contemplating criminal activities to reconsider, insisting that Kaduna State is too small for criminality and that there is no safe haven for criminal elements in the state.
