The Commissioner of Police for Akwa Ibom State, Waheed Ayilara, is dead.
A family member disclosed this on Thursday in a short statement.
It was learned that Ayilara underwent prostate cancer surgery on Wednesday, just hours before his death at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja.
“We are very sad to inform you that our friend, brother, and family member, the Commissioner of Police for Akwa Ibom State, Waheed Ayilara, is dead,” a family member said.
