The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has deployed 86 Deputy Commissioners of Police DCPs and 206 Assistant Commissioners of Police ACPs to zonal commands.

The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba ordered the “strategic posting” as part of mechanisms towards an improved policing system across the country.

A statement on Saturday by Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi said the officers are heading to Zonal Commands, State Commands and Formations.

They will deputize other senior ranking officers in the discharge of critical administrative, investigative, and operational duties.

The IGP reiterated the commitment of the Force’s leadership to continually embark on initiatives to improve internal security in Nigeria.

The police chief further tasked them to ensure the utmost level of professionalism, community-oriented public service, and compliance with the rule of law.

The IGP assured the public of “unhindered drives in all areas to effectively safeguard the people and strengthen our internal security”.
