The Commissioner of Police CP Alamutu Abiodun Mustapha psc decorated deserving officers with the inspiring rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police in his office earlier today the 14th day of August 2023 along with his management team, as he congratulated them, and counselled each of them to embrace professionalism as his earnest advice to the officers.
The Ogun State Police Command Headquarters was lit as happy beneficiaries matched forward to be decorated by the number one Policeman in the state.
The rank popularly called “one star” is the beginning of the officers cadre where the test of responsibility, and discretion is expected of the officers. It is a prestigious rank, in the Police Force that Commands enormous respect because the officers are expected to represent the image of the Police Force in positive light and as such, higher level of resilience is expected of them.
In the words of the Commissioner of Police, he said: “There is no more room to hide, be distinguished as you discharge your primary assignment in protecting life and property. Remember to be fair but firm in the words of the Commissioner of Police.
“I expect nothing less but the best service commendable to your father land as you are going to be posted out to man new roles, these roles will require commitment and dedication”.
He also encourage them to be good examples of all they have emulated from their superiors in relation to developing themselves everyday in order to equal with the knowledge and opportunities that will confront them in their various areas of responsibility.
Among the newly decorated are Adebo Alice, Philomina Imahanna, Sulaimon Wasiu, Olaibi Rasheed, Jimoh Shina, Akomolafe Praise, Taiwo Taiwo, Pinna Yohanna, Balogun ABIODUN, Oxuwawu Iyobo, Patricia Lam and Owoeye Victor who was very outspoken, and spoke on behalf of the newly decorated officers, promising that they will be better ambassadors stressing the advice the Commissioner of Police CP ALAMUTU has given, will spur them to be diligent, upholding the rule of law and tenets of fundamental human right when discharging their duties.
The newly decorated were among those who have met with all the criteria of the Police Service Commission, having satisfactorily passed their written examinations as well physical fitness, qualifying them to proceed to the next rank due to their dates of enlistment.
