The Kano Police Command has banned all forms of protests in the state with immediate effect.
This followed intelligence received by the command that the two dominant parties; the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) have assembled “rented crowds” to embark on protest, without the endorsement of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).
Gumel said the police command is grateful for the enormous support and cooperation it has been enjoying from the good people of the State for the peace, security, stability and the overall interest of all residents.
