The abducted wife of Pastor Johnson Ajiboye, of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Mrs Bola Ajiboye, has been set free.
She was released by her abductors on Wednesday, after payment of N1m ransom along with foodstuffs.
The sources, however, said a yet to be identified person who went to deliver the ransom and the foodstuffs, was seized after delivery of the items.
Mrs Ajiboye was kidnapped on Thursday night at Elerinjare village, near Idofian town, in Ifelodun Local Government of Kwara State.
During the operation at her house, one of her daughters escaped miraculously amid sporadic gunshots.
In a reaction, the spokesman of the State police command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi said in a text message: “I don’t have any comment on that for now please.”
