A fake soldier has been arrested by operatives of the Nigeria police, Kebbi State Area Command.
The suspect identified as Faisal Saidu from Kawarin Kudi Zango local government, Katsina state, had bargained for a Honda Jazz with a car dealer in Kebbi at two million, two hundred thousand naira (N2,200,000).
However, after reaching a deal with one of the car dealers, Saidu who wore military camouflage went to test the vehicle but never returned.
The car dealer reported the case to the police who launched a manhunt for the fake soldier and arrested him in Katsina state.
He confessed to the crime and the vehicle has been recovered. The suspect is in police custody and will be charged to court after investigations have been concluded.
