Nigerian Troops Kill 11 Terrorists In Borno, Yobe

The Nigerian army are gradually making constant push and progress in the fight against insurgency in the country as the troops of 29 Task Force Brigade Operation Hadin Kai eliminated 11 terrorists in separate encounters in Borno and Yobe states.

 

Security Focus gathered that some officers of the Nigerian Army initially came in contact with the adversaries during a patrol while four of the terrorists were planting mines, targeted at the troops at Goniri in Gujba Local Government Area (LGA) of Yobe State.

 

On sighting the insurgents, the troops opened fire which triggered the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) to explode killing two of the terrorists. The other two were attempting to escape when the troops neutralised them.

 

Furthermore, it was gathered that the troops ambushed another set of terrorists (four in number) on two motorcycles and eliminated them around the Shettimari village in Borno while their motorcycles were set ablaze.

 

Also, the troops eliminated three insurgents on bicycles after they laid an ambush against the terrorists around the axis of Jalori in Kaga Local Government Area (LGA) of Borno State.
