Taste of Culture Food Festival, Head of Organising Committee of the festival. Mr Debo Idowu and Mr Yinka Afolabi said the Culture Food Festival is an annual food festival and cultural fair to be held in Lagos State.
Food culture incorporates our ethnicity and cultural heritage and provides a mechanism of communication with others both externally and within our families and communities.
Also food culture helps to promote unity, tourism business initiation, de-stressing, social networking, friendship, relationship, fun sharing at our finer tips and peace among different ethnic groups despite their beliefs, colors, traditions and doctrines.
The festival aims at bringing together indigenous food vendors, food cafes, restaurant and fresh food outlets under one umbrella to showcase their art.
Also , the festival hopes to create a cultural exhibition upholding our local and national heritage in the area of indigenous food in order to attract tourist to Lagos State during the festival.
“The important of the food festival is an expressive way to celebrate the glorious heritage, culture, traditions, and a means of uniting communities in Lagos State and boot his economy of the state,” Idowu, a member of the organizing committee said.
Culture Food Festival is targeted at showcasing and celebrating our Rich Nigeria culture and a spotlight on the tourism industry, as well as create a vibrant and harmonious, community, atmosphere for the people of all ages to enjoy. There’s will also be Games Area, Cultural exhibition/ display, Music, Comedy and unique entertainment from our diverse cultures while enjoying the culinary and cuisine of Nigeria.
The event is scheduled to hold on Saturday 17th of December, 2022 at the Eko Atlantic landway Victoria Island, Lagos State. (Time: 10am to 8pm).
