The Ughelli Area Command of the Nigeria Police in Delta State, in collaboration with the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) led by Comrade (Elder) A.P. Edariese, have apprehended Mr. Daddy K. Odiete for allegedly sharing a girl’s nude photograph on social media in retaliation for ending their relationship.
It was gathered that the suspect is currently in custody at the “A” Division in Ughelli.
The suspect had managed to evade arrest for approximately two months following the incident until he was eventually apprehended through the combined efforts of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), Delta State chapter.
The victim (name withheld), had reported the incident to the Nigeria Police Force, Area Command, Ughelli, in August, and the CDHR, swung into action, leading to the apprehension of the elusive perpetrator.
In a statement, the CDHR Delta State Chairman, Comrade A.P. Edariese, said, “This incident is one of too many of its kind in our present-day society and should serve as a deterrent to others with similar intentions.”
The septuagenarian praised the Area Commander of the Delta Central Area Command, Ughelli, for his efforts in apprehending the suspect.
